How to permanently remove your Kith account and all associated data.

Kith is a personal relationship app developed by Zyvo Studios. We respect your right to delete your account and your data at any time.

How to delete your account

You can delete your Kith account directly from the app:

1. Open the Kith app on your Android device.
2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Type DELETE in the confirmation dialog to confirm.
6. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

What data is deleted

When you delete your Kith account, the following data is permanently erased:

• Your account credentials (email and password hash)
• All people, relationships, and custom fields you created
• All photos you uploaded
• Your preferences (theme, colorblind mode, consent records)
• Any refresh tokens or session data

What data is retained, and for how long

For operational, security, and legal reasons, a limited amount of data may persist briefly after deletion:

• Database backups (up to 30 days): Routine encrypted backups may contain your data until the backup is rotated out. After 30 days, all backups will be free of your data.
• Server logs (up to 90 days): Anonymized server logs (timestamps, IP addresses, request paths) may persist for up to 90 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs do not contain your personal data or content.
• Legal and financial records (up to 7 years): If you ever made a paid transaction with Kith, transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with Dutch tax and accounting law. These records do not contain your relationship data — only transaction metadata (date, amount, anonymized identifier).

Export your data first

If you would like a copy of your data before deleting your account, Kith provides a built-in export feature:

1. Open the Kith app.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under the Data section, tap Export my data.
4. Choose where to save the exported JSON file.

The export contains all your people, relationships, custom fields, and metadata in a portable format.
